8 Glorious Portraits From World Famous Old Time Photographers

Its 3:16 at night on Friday, May 16th, and I've spent the past three hours flipping through the archives of the all-time great portrait photographers like Arnold Newman, Herb Ritts, and Richard Avedon trying to pretend I could do what they do with 0.001% of the effort. While I'm conceited, I'm humble enough to admit I'm about as close to matching their work as I am to holding my breath longer than a dead man.

Sophia Loren, by Richard Avedon for Harper's Bazaar, December 1965

Andy Warhol, by Albert Watson, 1985

Tony in White, by Herb Ritts, 1988

Christian Bale, by Platon

Antonio Banderas, by Herb Ritts, 1994

Bobby Clark, by Philippe Halsman, 1954

Marcel Duchamp, by Arnold Newman, 1966

Suzy Parker, by Richard Avedon, 1951

If you enjoyed, feel free to check out my photographs, which are awful compared to these gems.
